Oliver 66495 230mm Lace Up Structural Firefighters Boot

The Oliver 66495 230mm Lace Up Structural Firefighters Boot is a high-performance safety boot designed for firefighting, emergency services and demanding frontline environments. Built for Australian conditions, this boot combines flame resistance, water resistance, impact protection and all-day comfort, making it a dependable choice for personnel who need footwear they can trust in high-pressure situations.

Designed as part of Oliver Footwear’s firefighting and emergency services range, the Oliver 66495 is made to support the needs of relevant agencies and frontline workers. It is suitable for structural firefighting, emergency response, rescue work, industrial emergency teams and other roles where protection, durability and comfort are essential. From wet and slippery ground to hot surfaces and harsh work areas, this boot is built to perform when conditions are unpredictable.

The boot features water resistant and flame retardant leather, helping protect the wearer in challenging environments where exposure to moisture, heat and flame risk may be present. The leather is designed to provide dependable durability while supporting comfort during long shifts. It also features heavy duty red Nomex® stitching and flame proof laces, adding strength and heat resistance to key areas of the boot. These details make the Oliver 66495 well suited to emergency service work where standard footwear may not provide enough protection.

For added durability, the boot includes TECtuff® toe bumper protection, which helps protect the front of the boot from scuffing and abrasion. This is especially useful for firefighters and emergency workers who may be kneeling, climbing, dragging equipment or moving through rough surfaces. By helping reduce wear around the toe area, the toe bumper supports longer boot life and better performance on the job.

The 230mm lace-up design provides secure ankle and lower leg support, helping workers feel more stable when moving across uneven, wet or hazardous ground. It also includes a Quick Release Zipper, making the boot easier to put on and take off. This is a practical feature for emergency services personnel who may need fast and reliable access to their gear.

Comfort is a major part of the Oliver 66495 design. The COMFORTcushion® Impact Absorption system provides superior cushioning and shock absorption to help reduce foot, leg and back fatigue. This is important for frontline workers who may spend long hours standing, walking, running, climbing or carrying equipment. The integrated comfort layer of urethane cushioning in the HS66 Series Heavy Duty Nitrile Rubber Soling System helps improve flexibility and underfoot comfort, which is a unique benefit of Oliver boots.

The COOLstep® Lining helps absorb moisture and odour, keeping feet fresher, drier and more hygienic during long wear. This is valuable during physically demanding shifts where heat and sweat build-up can affect comfort. Combined with the boot’s cushioning system, it helps support all-day wear in tough working conditions.

For toe protection, the boot includes a NATUREform Type 1 Toe Cap with a wide-profile design that suits the natural shape of the foot. It includes a latex cushion liner for added comfort and helps prevent toes from coming into direct contact with the cap. It is tested to 200 joules in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 2210.3. The boot also includes a Composite Safety Toe Cap, providing lightweight, non-metallic protection against drop and crush injuries. This toe cap is airport friendly and developed to withstand a force of 200 joules.

The HEELguard provides added stability and impact protection around the heel area, helping support the foot when moving across rough or unstable surfaces. The Hi-Vis Reflective Safety Trim improves visibility in difficult light conditions, making it a useful feature for emergency response, night work, road incidents and low-light environments. It also complements hi-vis working garments commonly used across Australian emergency services.

Underfoot protection is another key strength of the Oliver 66495. The boot includes Sole Penetration Protection, helping reduce the risk of sharp objects entering through the sole. This is important when working around broken glass, metal debris, nails, sharp rubble or damaged structures.

The outsole is built for harsh environments. It features a hard-wearing Heavy Duty Nitrile Rubber Soling System with excellent durability, flexibility and grip. The sole is heat resistant up to 300°C, making it suitable for high surface heat environments. It also provides excellent cut resistance, helping prevent small cuts from expanding during normal sole flexing.

The Slip Resistant Sole provides strong traction and exceeds European Standard EN344 and SATRA slip test method PM144, helping reduce slip risk on wet, oily or uneven surfaces. The outsole is also abrasion resistant, supporting durability across rough ground and emergency response environments.

For added workplace safety, the boot provides Electrical Hazard protection, helping reduce the danger of accidental contact with live electrical circuits in accordance with ASTM F2413-1. The sole is also resistant to organic oils and fats, as well as most mineral oils, acids and alkaline substances, making it suitable for general industrial and emergency service environments.

Overall, the Oliver 66495 230mm Lace Up Structural Firefighters Boot is a tough, protective and comfortable boot made for Australian emergency services and demanding worksites. With flame retardant leather, water resistance, composite toe protection, heat resistance, penetration protection, reflective trim and shock-absorbing comfort, it is built to support frontline workers when safety and performance matter most.
